The SOARING STRATEGY
to Manage Stress and Prevent Burnout
A simple, science backed system to manage everyday stress and rewire your brain for greater calm, contentment and joy.
As a doctor, you deal with a mountain of stressful situations every day.
Whether you’re delivering tough news to a patient, stuck in bumper-to-bumper traffic, negotiating with your manager or managing a very public toddler meltdown, all kinds of everyday stress can get your nervous system firing.
The question is, how will you respond?
Many of us do life on auto-pilot, reacting in the moment to whatever the day brings. Sometimes we respond well; other times our default behaviour patterns can make a tough situation worse. You shut down your emotions, unintentionally leaving a patient feeling lost and alone, then take all the stress and pressure home where you snap at your kids and your partner.
If this sounds familiar, you are not alone. Like many women in medicine, you’re overloaded. And while you may not see a way to offload those responsibilities just yet, it is possible to handle your day-to-day stress in a whole new way - with incredible results for your health, happiness, and wellbeing.
It's called The SOARING SRATEGYto Manage Stress and Prevent Burnout
My signature system to help you handle day to day stress with peace, calm, and ease.
With The Soaring Strategy, you’ll discover a host of micro self-care practices you can employ on the job, at the wheel, or behind the kitchen counter. Anywhere you need to manage stress at the moment, you’ll have the tools to handle it - and handle it well.
The SOARING STRATEGY to Manage Stress and Prevent Burnout is a repeatable strategy that helps you meet everyday stress with greater equanimity and rewires your brain for greater well-being.
You’ll learn how to:
Surrender to your senses to come fully into the present moment.
Observe your thoughts, feelings and behaviour.
Allow your emotions.
Release resisting and judgemental thoughts.
This allows you to accept things as they are, so that you are mindful of your self-care battery levels, and what emotions deplete them.
Then, you can recharge your self-care batteries by savouring and replenishing emotions.
Investigate what you need at this moment.
Nourish what you need with your senses.
Give it three breaths to savour and anchor what you need, in order to rewire your brain.
The SOARING STRATEGY to Manage Stress and Prevent Burnout is designed to help you care for yourself, as you care for others so that caregiver burnout can be a thing of the past. It guides you to consistently put on your own oxygen mask first, so you can assist others with theirs.
The good news is that as you consistently practice SOARING, you’ll lay down new neural pathways to rewire your brain and handle stress with calm and ease.

"...stimulating, supportive and refreshing course..."
"I found the Stress Reset week a stimulating, supportive and refreshing course. I loved being able to learn some new ways to help me tackle overwhelm at work and in life, and do it in an efficient way that was considerate of my already busy week! I also love connecting with other women in medicine by Zoom and being able to see I'm not alone! Robyn was lovely; genuinely understanding and an expert... and seemed to enjoy it as much as any of us!"
