This trauma-sensitive session offers a polyvagal-informed understanding of why chronic stress and burnout show up in the body — and how to begin recharging with evidence-based micropractices.

Using the SOAR Self-Care Battery™, you’ll learn to map what drains you, what restores you, and how to interrupt the cycle of overdrive and collapse.


This isn’t about doing more — it’s about learning to plug back in through self-compassion. By turning toward yourself with kindness, you’ll begin to restore your nervous system’s capacity for calm, connection, and clarity.

Led by Dr. Robyn Charlton, a psychiatrist, certified Mindful Self-Compassion teacher, and yin yoga facilitator, this workshop blends neuroscience, somatic awareness, self-compassion, and gentle self-care tools to help you reconnect with your nervous system and return to your work with greater sustainability.

Learn to identify three core types of energy drains that contribute to burnout:

  • In-Between Drains like vicarious traumatisation and empathetic distress — the emotional residue of co-regulation and holding space for others

  • Internal Drains, such as the relentless inner critic, perfectionism, or shame-driven motivation

  • External Drains from systemic stressors — including gendered expectations, overwork, and moral injury within healthcare and caregiving systems.

Understand how stress shows up in the body as sympathetic overdrive or dorsal shutdown — and how to begin shifting into states of safety, connection, and calm.
